Greenwood Leflore school board reviews new high school construction contract
GREENWOOD - The Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District Board of Trustees heard an update on plans for a new high school during an Aug. 26, 2026 work session, with a recommendation on the project's lowest bidder expected soon.
The update was delivered by Superintendent Kenneth Pulley. During the presentation, which moved from a superintendent's report into an item on new high school updates, the speaker told trustees, "M3A Architect and Dell partners will be present in our board meeting. We have been having virtual meetings with all parties. As we review final meeting very soon to review our contracts so that we can get started. We'll be able to make a recommendation for the lowest bidder at that time." No vote was taken on the contract at the work session.
The project represents a significant capital commitment of taxpayer money, and the bidder-selection process now underway will help determine the scope of that spending. The identities of "Dell partners," along with the project's cost and full scope, were not detailed at the meeting. The contract decision is expected to come before the board in the weeks ahead.
