Natchez board awards contract for two LED video walls
The Board of Aldermen voted to accept a $62,289 bid from Hope Enterprise LLC to purchase, deliver and install two LED video walls at the Natchez Convention Center.
The award came during a city staff report on engineering and facilities at the September 23 board meeting. A city staff member identified in meeting records as Mr. Johnston told the board that "bids for the purchase, delivery, install, and technical support of two LED video walls were received today at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 22nd," and that "staff and council with consulting architecture Dunan is requesting a motion to accept the quote bid of Hope Enterprise LLC totaling 62,289." Bids from three vendors were opened at that time. The board approved the motion without further discussion.
The project is being funded through the city's 2022 Convention Center bond, according to the staff report. The award follows a competitive bidding process among three vendors for the video-wall installation. While the dollar amount is modest, the contract represents a new capital spending commitment tied to bond-funded improvements at the Convention Center, adding to the record of how those bond proceeds are being spent.
