At the board's regular meeting Sept. 15, 2026, during the mayor's report, the presiding official, identified in meeting records as Mayor Robyn Tannehill, said, "Over the past 10 years, we have secured more than $250 million from our state and federal partners." The remark came as she outlined plans for a trip to Washington, D.C., where she and several aldermen and staff are expected to seek additional federal funding for infrastructure tied to Oxford's growth, while also thanking lawmakers for money already received.
