Clinton awards $885,919 contract to Joe McGee Construction for Rising Springs Phase 2 site work

CLINTON — The Clinton Board of Aldermen voted Aug. 4 to award an $885,919.15 contract to Joe McGee Construction for site work on Rising Springs Phase 2, including two bid alternates added after bids came in lower than expected. A city engineer told the board the added scope was possible because "they were low enough that we was able to add in a couple of alternates that we had built into the bid process." The board authorized the mayor to execute the agreement.
