GREENWOOD — Leflore County Administrator Cynthia Stansel asked the Board of Supervisors on July 28 to approve a $2 million loan to pay for emergency storm cleanup and debris removal while the county awaits reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

"Request approval to obtain a loan in the amount of $2 million to cover the emergency storm cleanup and debris removal while awaiting reimbursement from FEMA," Stansel told the board. Stansel said the county secured the lowest available rate, 4.59 percent, from Bank of Commerce. The board approved the loan.
